The mural Future Storylines, created by the Orticanoodles collective in an underpass at Rogoredo station, tells the story of human ingenuity’s journey towards a more sustainable future.
The composition develops as a dynamic framework in which human figures, geometric elements, and symbolic paths intertwine in a narrative dedicated to creativity, growth, and the ability to dream of tomorrow. The central element of the work is a network of lines that spans the entire surface and symbolizes an imaginary subway: a network of connections that ideally unites people, ideas, and territories, evoking themes of sustainable mobility, accessibility, and shared progress.
Vibrant and dynamic tones such as orange, green, and blue convey an idea of constant transformation.
Through the dialogue between art, science, and innovation, the mural proposes a reflection on the possibility of combining human development with respect for the environment.
Commissioned by Saipem, the project is part of a broader initiative to enhance public space through urban art and community involvement.
The conception of the work also benefited from the contributions of some selected students from the ‘Albe e Lica Steiner’ Institute, who suggested the names of the stations of the imaginary subway depicted in the mural, thereby enriching its participatory value.
