As part of Milan Art Week 2026, Octospider, a work by British artist Jeremy Deller, will be inaugurated at CityLife Park, completing the ArtLine Milano public art project.
Conceived by the artist as an interactive and playful installation, the work combines elements inspired by the octopus and the spider in a multifunctional and inclusive structure. The sculpture is designed to accommodate up to 70 children simultaneously and offers nine different activities aimed at stimulating creativity, play, and motor skills, with a view to enhancing public space as a place of interaction and participation.
The work is presented to the public in the presence of the Councillor for Culture, Tommaso Sacchi, and the artist Jeremy Deller. This is followed, within the Golden Goose Arena, by the presentation of the ArtLine Milano: Open Air Collection catalog with the curators Roberto Pinto and Katia Anguelova.
With the inauguration of Octospider, ‘ArtLine Milano,’ the public art project of the Municipality carried out with the company SmartCityLife, which since 2014 has progressively enlivened the CityLife park with new sculptures and site-specific installations, culminating in the creation of a veritable open-air contemporary art museum, officially concludes.
